I once read about a journalist who had interviewed a terminally ill patient and asked her; “What is it like to wake up every morning and know that you are dying?” To which she responded with “What is it like to wake up every morning and pretend that you are not?”.
This seriously had me thinking about why journalists do what they do. To me, all of this is is far more than just a job or hobby. Personally, I feel like it’s about revealing human truths by asking the questions that are important, pressing and maybe kind of intense.
Anyway, I’m just a kid who’s been pushed right into adulthood like everyone else. I’m from a small, unpronounceable town in the heart of Wales named Llanidloes, now living and studying (dying lmao) in Nottingham. Despite how much of a drastic change it’s been and how much settling there’s still left to do, I’m in love with the entire process.
As unoriginal as having a blog may be, this is also real life. Culture, art, politics, interests, events and all vibes; where we can catch up away from the clutter. I’ll try my best to shield you from boredom, share your passion, keep you stimulated and add fire to your mind. Hopefully.
So join me in this blog affair, take it easy as this is my first time blogging, ever, and never be afraid to say hi alongside any form of feedback!
It’s all good.
